Get to Know the Hornbills at Bali Bird Park
During the Wild Encounter session, you can meet four unique Hornbill species. Furthermore, you can learn about their conservation status on the IUCN Red List website.
- Rhinoceros Hornbill – Bruno: Recognized by the large horn-like casque above his beak, Bruno reflects the strength of Asian Hornbills. In addition, he helps forests regenerate by dispersing seeds.
- Bar-pouched Wreathed Hornbill – Jack: You can easily recognize Jack by his yellow throat pouch and slender body. Moreover, his graceful flight makes him fascinating to observe.
- Oriental Pied Hornbill – Jaja: With bold black and white plumage, Jaja has a very striking appearance. This adaptable species often lives in forests and near wetlands.
- Knobbed Hornbill – Edik: Edik originates from Papua and is known for the prominent knob on his beak. In fact, he represents the rich biodiversity of eastern Indonesia.
