In most cases this support is ongoing.
Bali Bird Park provides expertise in sustainable management, nutrition, breeding and release.
An Example
Canopy Adventures, which offers bird watching from platforms high up in the forests of the island of Maluku.
Canopy Adventures was started by a former bird trapper of Salmon Crested Cockatoos.
Now he takes tourists up into the canopy & his livelihood depends on the Salmon Crested Cockatoo survival in the wild.
He is fiercely protective of the forest. Bird numbers are recovering.
